D&D's Leap Year Banquet

We gathered to enjoy a dinner of roast turkey and all the trimmings with carrot cake for dessert. Many were touched by the comments of D&D missionary residents that were shown on the screen, about how D&D has blessed them in their time of need.

After dinner, Phil Fogle, president, shared the blessings God has showered on D&D in the past year and so far in 2008. He then shared the plans for the renovation of the fire station and challenged all to have a part as we all WATCH GOD WORK.

Fire Station property will be D&D's

Feb. 29, 2008 -- Lealman Fire District commissioners approved D&D's bid to purchase the .62 acre fire station property contiguous to D&D's property in January. The contract is being written, the survey is completed, an EPA study is to be done, and a hearing will be held on April 3 for a special use exception. We hope to close by the end of April. An in-house committee is working on the potential uses and how we can best utilize the property. Approximately two thirds of funding already in hand. Approximately $200,000 yet needed. Acquisition of this property will enable D&D to work toward accomplishment of some strategic goals. Thanks for your prayers, and keep praying.
